Craters of the Moon!

Some take the path less traveled...... and end up driving for 5 hours instead of 4! But look what we would have missed: Good ole Craters of the Moon!

When I was little, we always went to Craters of the Moon on field trips. There are hundreds of caves here. It is really impressive.

So, this weekend we went to IF! It was so much fun! We got together with my family and also got to hang out with some friends. On the way back we took an alternate route that goes through Arco and on back to Boise that let us see some really neat places. It was a longer drive but the miles were actually less. One of the places we passed through on our adventure was Craters of the Moon!

We want to come back another day when we can explore. That will be fun!

Four wheeling anyone?

Yes, this is a few months old. But its Wednesday, smack dab in the middle of the week and I'm a bit bored today so I thought back on how fun this fourwheeling trip was with Lisa & I and Sarah & Shawn a few months ago and thought I'd post it in case anyone else out there has the "middleoftheworkweekblues" and wanted something to take a look at! p.s. Lisa hates the picture of her in the yellow cap all bundled but I love it. Isn't she cute!

Also, good news! We are going to Idaho Falls this weekend!! YAHOO!

Memorial Day

My mom told me that my second cousin Matthew McCardell was buried in the Nampa cemetary somewhere. I don't remember meeting him but he died in 2005 at the age of 25 from cancer. Lisa and I went out to Nampa not thinking we would actually find his grave but we did, on the last road in the last street as we were driving by we saw it.

As we were looking around, we also found a Duncan headstone. They lived way back in the 1841, pretty old, but pretty cool!

Happy 6th Month Anniversary!!

A fun way to spend a day, or three or four!

After a couple months living with a dirtbowl backyard and no landscaping whatsoever, the inevitable day of planting trees, sod, and rocks finally arrived.

BEFORE:

We needed bushes, grass, and rocks! Plus, our little patio was barely big enough for Kenya to put her furry butt on so we extended it for some fire pit space. Yahoo! Summer nights will be so fun!

I tried using my lawnmower to carry the sod and it worked surprisingly well, for about 4 or 5 loads and then it about had it so thankfully Sarah and Shawn lent us their wheelbarrow which saved the day! and my back!

Keny was a huge help
, well huge anyway!

DONE AT LAST:

WE ARE NOW READY FOR YOUR VISIT! COME ON OVER FOR SOME SUMMER FUN ANY TIME!

FAMILY PHOTO

Last Sunday, we decided it was time to take our family picture. This will probably be the last family picture we take before we actually have a family of our own. Unless you consider Kenya, and in that case, we are one happy family.

Lisa is sporting a hip new dress given her from her stylin sisters.

Kody is wearing Lisa's favorite tie! Who gave it to him? A very special someone!! Actually its my favorite tie too! :)
Kenya is wearing a fresh long fur coat which keeps her warm in the winter and pantingly hot in the summer along with a blood red leash.

Baby Trace, although deep inside his mother's womb, is going the natural style today!
