I came downstairs and found Clue #1

Clue#1 - The search begins.

Nope, not here!

Here it is!

#3 - "Now go to the closet and you will find, someting to wear.... not for your behind."

A new hoodie! and clue #4 - "Now that you are warm you can take a stroll, down to the place where you see ole Moll". (This took me a long time because I didn't get "mol". I was then reminded of "Molly" the neighbors dog that is usually running around back behind our house.

Outside I went. Clue #5 - "Now to the last of your boon, go get your instrument to strum a tune".

A guitar capo! Yay! I had wanted one of these for a long time!

Lisa is so cute! What a fun game! I will also mention she made a delicious breakfast with pancakes, juice, sausage, and eggs. What more could a guy ask for?

So we sat down to a bowl of soup for lunch. I was holding Trace in my lap and he threw his arms out into my soup and splashed it all over both of us! The soup was not hot at all thankfully. ;) He seemed to like it as you can see from his face.

No, not a dirty diaper, that is the soup all over my pants! Besides this, it was a perfect birthday!

Trace goes to Utah to see Grandparents

This week Trace and I went to Utah while Kody was on a business trip in Phoenix. It was fun to see everybody.

So while we were down there my sister Dina (in the middle) found out she was pregnant. After dinner we handed my mom the positive pregnancy test and made our parents guess which one of us was expecting! They both guessed my sister Janis and my mom ran over to hug her and congratulate her. She couldn't take the praise and admitted it was Dina. It was just funny because it could have been anyone.

My parent's poor dog Brinkley (who is not shown here) has cataracts and is overweight. That is sad, I wish he would live forever, he is ten years old now. I took him for a walk and he was so excited until we walked around the corner of the house, then he stopped as if to say "this is as far as I go". No wonder he is 50 pounds overweight!

The whole time Trace was such a good smiley baby. He never made a peep and everyone wondered how we were so blessed with a perfect baby. Now that I am home he hasn't stopped crying since. He is just a show-off!

What I found in the woods... so I called 911

So Kenya and I went on a walk this morning near the Boise river in Eagle. It is one of my favorite places to go because its quiet and only about 10 minutes from home. We didn't realize when we got there that by the end of our little walk I'd end up calling 911....
The Boise river runs for miles. There are a ton of trees and little trails that make it fun to just let your dog loose and wonder around so we did. We turned a corner that is when my stomache jumped..

I saw this man laying lifeless entangled in a fence. I said, "hello". He didn't move. I wondered if I had stumbled across a corpse. Your probably wondering why I would ever think that it was a corpse because he is not laying on the ground but if any of you paintball then you know how we often poke ourselves inbetween twigs and fences, or maybe he was hung I don't know, after all we are in the woods. So at this point all I knew was it was a man and he wasn't moving. Yes, it sounds rediculous but if you saw this in the middle of the forest you would probably be at least a little taken off gaurd too.

Being the fearless one that I am, I let Kenya off her leash so she could check out the corpse. She is not much of a corpse searching type of dog so she just laid down on the path so I went closer for a closer look and found this. Gosh, whomever stuffed those legs sure made them look lifelike!

As I continued along the path we came to a fire. I thought maybe someone was camping there but as we got closer it was evident that it was just burning on its own in the trees and weeds. So we (Kenya and I) called 911 and the firetrucks came and put it out. I took this pic after the fact but if you look closely you can still see some smoke. Yeah, this story has a dumb ending but at least no one was hurt, no one was a corpse, and Kenya and I survived yet another walk through the woods.

4 things I've learned

Well its been two months since Trace was born and I've learned a whole lot. But I thought I'd tell just 4 things for today.

#4 - There is nothing better than being a dad! Poopie diapers and all!

#3 The other day we put Trace in my old baby jammies. I was surprised at how well they fit him. It made me think of how time flies by so fast. We better enjoy these days cuz soon he's gonna be a big fellow. ;)

#2 Sunday Trace and Landon were both blessed. Holding this cute little bundle made me so greatful for the priesthood. I learned if I love this little guy so much, how much then must our Father in Heaven love all of us! Wow!
#1 - There is absolutely nothing more important than Eternal Families. It definitely puts this world into perspective having a little guy to look out for. And here I thought I knew it all before he was born! ;)

The Search for the Great Pumpkin!

The Commander

Ok, I am not a trekie and I know nothing about Star Trek, but Kody says our son looks like Jean Luke Picard (Patrick Stewart).

I, however, see an astonishing resemblance to Wentworth Miller. What do you think?
